The grind is on. { 1 }
Spent about 110 hours painting last week – pushed to the edge physically and mentally. At one point I actually fell asleep painting. Made the deadline for images for the mailer by about 30 minutes. I should say the extended, final final deadline. Now I’ve taken a few half days off and I’m ready for the last month long grind to the show. I love being so immersed in painting and some interesting stuff happens when you’re working so much. This is when the innovation happens because you kind of let go of trying to be so technically perfect and you start letting the process become instinctual.

Thanks for emailing me about how you are and what you are doing. I saw your pictures for the show and I love them. I hope it goes well. I’m sad I will not get to see the paintings in person.
